Full of love

and full of the drink. Its 1.40am, i'm at work at 7. Its wednesday night, or thursday morning technically.

Time to call it a night, or morning. LMBO. What a pointless post! Or is it?

Felt like posting this

Because its a class above.

A quiet drink on a sunday night

In town. Not!

Sunday was rather eventful to say the least. Woke up with what can only be described as a "stonking" hangover. The worst i've had in years, and i've been in some critical states, i'm sure my grandmother would concur. But, i'm 110% committed to our side, there is no I in team is there? Plus we were playing in the cup against a bunch of mackem cunts who needed to be taught a lesson, both on and off the ball. I managed to drag myself out of bed, the 7 S's and then downstairs to neck an Alka seltza, although it wasn't the real "I am", just those cheap tesco branded stomach and headache relief tablets. The recession clouds still haven't fully cleared you know. After digesting this i still felt somewhat done in, still mortal in all fairness but i was able to get some toast and a cup of tea down with the very minimum of fuss. Got down downstairs and out back for a quick tab, i was then ready to rock 'n' roll, hell yes.

I get picked up by our captain and head over to pick my mate up before setting off for the match, banter all the way down with a bit of Classic radio in the background, its sunday morning what do you expect, hardcore senegalese gabba? Stand out tune was definately:

Get there and survey the scene, all is looking grand! Decent pitch, decent size and slick ready in anticipation of a plethora of crunching tackles! Rest of the side turn up and its good to see a good healthy squad this week, 5 or 6 subs and all of good quality, hopefully this will be the same for the remainder of the season but the way we have been going in terms of injuries this is highly unlikely.

To the game, we started off well and so did they, a well fought contest that is a credit to the league that we are in, we were fucking determined to go away with a result though and this showed, we had more fight than the soppy scumbags and at this level this is a true telling character strength. At times this season, due to players being out/not a settled team we have been found wanting in midfield, not on sunday. We won everything(well up until about 65 minutes in) and found ourselves 2-0 up at half time through our captain scoring 2 absolute corkers, that was now 6 cracking goals in the space of 2 games, fucking flying is an understatement. The first half involved some severe and naughty challenges making a predictable appearance, all in the name of fair play and this is what football is all about for me, commitment and working for your teammates. Plus the fucking hideous mackem accent grinds on you after about 13 seconds and to have to put up with it for a full half is bound to piss one off, non?

We started the second half on the front foot and managed to get another goal, we had them in our back pockets at the back and were like fucking hadrians wall, well the bits that are still standing fully upright and solid (here's the website to find out where exactly these bits are: http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/

Like always though we took our foot off the gas, missed opportunities and let them back in, with a small lift up from the baldy coot of a ref, TWICE! 3-2, fuck, "hanging on for dear life central". This is when the team spirit is put to the test in situations like this and by god have we got it in skipfuls(is that a word?)! Ended up winning the game, and shutting the BNP clan they have on their line right up, that made my day seeing the tears in their eyes after the game, let me tell you.

Funny as fuck after the match too, their manager going wild in the dressing room while we singing our songs, love it!! Back to the bar we went ready for a proper full on session, and this is exactly what it turned out to be. Coupled with the fact the toon won it unfolded into a cracking day. Lets hope we both can kick on now and have a good season, the potential is there for all to see. Even Coloccini scored, heavens above!

I accidently put a 2 pound coin into the jukebox after the game which mean't i had 25 tunes to pick, i was in my element. An educated eclectic mix of wavelengths preceded this including bands such as The Verve, Stone Roses, Charlatans, The Who, The Stooges, The Small faces, and The Doves.

And not forgetting Madness, and that's exactly what it was. The dancing that was going down just had never been seen before and in my opinion will never be again!

Ended up on Low Fell, then onto town. By this point i could barely stand up. The less said about the following few hours the better because what happens in town stays in town. The place was wall to wall with freshers fanny though, but i finished the night in the type of establishment i could call my second home these days. What i will say is there was alot of "Dancing" going on.

On the way home....

Monday morning at work was great aswell....... Burning the candle at both ends has never been so good.

Needed a change?

I've alternated the colours, keeping things fresh.

Because that is how we roll.

The Pretty Things - Phillipe DeBarge

The Pretty Things were on a run in 1969. They had released several singles that charted over the past five years in the United Kingdom and Australia, had four albums under their belt, and even had a secret pseudo band called Electric Banana that made stock music for B-rated horror movies. But even with their mild success in their homeland of England and around Europe, the band was somewhat in disarray from not hitting it huge like the bands they recorded beside at Abbey Road Studios like The Beatles and Pink Floyd. The lead guitarist and founder of the band Dick Taylor left the band early in the year to try his hand at producing, and this left Phil May and Wally Waller to apply their song writing skills in full force and then out of nowhere Philippe DeBarge asked they would do the music for his debut solo album.

DeBarge was the son of a very wealthy French family and dreamed of becoming a rock star. His money and charm won The Pretty Things over very quickly and they decided to record a new album. DeBarge’s limitless budget provided the best studio money could buy and his voice was ready as well. Unlike most rich people who insist on putting out their music without the hint that they actually can’t sing, DeBarge could rock with the best of his day. After using a few songs they had worked on during live shows and concerts, The Pretty Things came up with some of the best psychedelic music of their career.

DeBarge took the finished album back to France thinking his family connections would get it published right away. Instead, the album had to wait forty years to come to album form and ten years after the death of DeBarge. It finally got its due among the re-issue catalog of UT Records including a new song done by the original members of The Pretty Things in 2008.

The Pretty Things went on to record one of rock music’s classic albums Parachutes in 1970 and now are quietly touring on occasion and still making albums. Philippe DeBarge recorded another album with The Pretty Things in 1974 and finally got his musical debut worldwide, but would never become the star he wanted to become. After forty years, the music is still as good as the first day it was recorded and now it can live and breathe as it was intended-as a true rock album.

By far one of my favourite albums ever, just got right back into these recently and loving everything they've done. Immense music that you could never tire of listening too.

One has not...

Been near a computer much recently. Certain things/people taking up my time!

So, i missed these, but have them now. Podcast party sets. Good listen indeed! Unfortunately not all sets recorded, still a few hours of top notch music to warm the lobes.

Porno!

In my opinion, this could be better than trainspotting, i thought the book was a top read and progressed the original story well, very entertaining. Lets hope it comes off!

A sad day in history

My houghts were and still are with the families who lost people in the terroist attacks of 9/11.

South Africa 2010

Fucking immense run of form, even though we've yet to be properly "tested" you still have to beat who is in front of you. England have done that, in an impressive fashion.

The three lions look like a totally different side under Capello, he's installed a spirit that has been lacking in recent years and the confidence within the team is staggering. He's also moulded the side into shape and everyone has their job clearly mapped out, the sign of a world class manager. Massive potential for next summer and i for one can't wait.

Also, 2010! Christ almighty, time flies when your giving G's the dyson treatment.

Time to progress!

And the next installment of my attempt at being a poet from yesteryear! Fucking hell shakesphere eat your kidneys out. Seems like a waste to me though, to let these jottings of youthful exuberance gather dust.

"Extortion"

Why do politicians decieve and lie and spin, as in the long run they never win,
amongst this society of positive victory and negative fail, its always the truth, with no exceptions, that will prevail.

Quit fighting each other with ridiculous bribes and out of context jibes, get to the important issues like jobs and immigration. Address the real problems affecting our everyday lives and return the honour and pride back to our delapidated nation.

The house of commons is a scene of mass hypocrasy as MP's make jokes and snide remarks about the rival party, if only they could feel the needle, if only they could hear the gun shot, if only they could taste the leftovers, then maybe these laughing matters would become serious, and Mr Brown would become less of a pushover.

Put an end to this charade and forget about Cameron, he's not the real existing dilemma at hand. Get a grip on the countries social misdemeanours and return these shores to a righteous land.

Employment is a huge struggle, with so many foreign bodies. The borders need to be shut off, and the illegal freeloaders on our streets will decrease with ease.

The cost of living is a farce with extortionate tags in shops, it needs to stop. The first port of call is taxes, time to relax it. They pay for land maintainance and the justice system, when the only crime that everyone can solve without the taxman is Brown in charge and we have to follow him.

Or do we?

A stone wall embarassment to humanity

The people that don't have their own minds. They Copy and steal from everyone else, aren't very intelligent and can not think for themselves. When they do they show themselves up even more!

They have to validate their own terrible existence by taking an unhealthy interest in other peoples lives. They just need to face up to the reality that they will never have an interesting personality. No matter how much cheap lager they drink to numb the inner pain they have and block out the realisation of their self loathing and personal hatred and tortured soul. They have nothing in their life, no hobbies because they aren't capable of carrying out any strenuous tasks because:

1. They are fat and unfit
2. They have no natural ability
3. They are a waste of gravity

Some people are born with good looks, some people are born with intelligence, some people are born with skills, some people are born with natural ability in sport, some people are born with wit and wisdom, some people are born with good social fortitude. Some people are born with good banter and craic, some people are born with a sense of humour. Some people are born with a survival instinct, some people are born with the ability to cook a delicious meal. Some people can spell and write a book, some people can make music. Some people are ambidextrous. Some people can climb mountains, others can fucking dive off the very same precipise that has been reached. Some people can shag 24/7 and become millionaires off it.

Other people are born with nothing. I pity and feel for those people, spending the majority of their shit lives watching more fortunate, gifted and blessed mammals getting the best out of life and living it to the full while they resent their parents for contributing and creating, through their genes and no doubt disgusting sex session up a dark back alley(because lets face it, would you really rattle either of those parents in the light?), a hideous excuse for a living creature.

Its all fucking hillarious to moi though.

Its all fucking hillarious to moi though.

A big week ahead..

And its started off on a great note today. Busy day at work but i thrive on pressure, let me tell you.

Met an interesting Jewish man today, he was the spitting double of Sean Connery, the first James Bond with curly sideboards!

New music:

Its class to see Johnny Marr making music again, had a few listens to the new album and its ok, a potential grower for sure. That guitar stands out a mile!

The first venture into...

My writing i spoke about. Its a saturday night, i've been on the wine(don't even like the stuff really, if i had my way we'd be flat out here on the floor with scantily clad scottish strippers pouring tequila down our necks, out of crocodile shoes signed by the great man himself, Jimmy Nail). I've had a spot on evening with a certain someone, great conversation and music. It could be the start of something in my life (hopefully). Lets hear a bit music to help us along, eh?

We had a great night last night too, i like a bird who can give as good as she gets (if you know me then this usually means being a cheeky so and so). One thing that is different though is the fact dance music isn't a level we meet on, so this could be a good thing, it could be a bad thing. On one hand its a good thing, i can go out and do what we do with my mates and not worry about the lady getting jealous that my jaw is moving faster than her clio in the morning.

On the other hand (if your Abu Hamza on the other hook) its a bad thing, because really if your relationship is to last, in some cases this isn't true but if you are truly to enjoy your life as a couple you should share similar interests, especially on the clubbing scene because so much goes on that when trying to explain whats happened to someone who wasn't there is a nightmare, they just don't get it. Plus it would mean your not on the same wavelength, your coming down all week and she wants to go for a meal with her parents, have you ever looked a 45+ year old in the eyes while re-living sitting in a cold bath fully clothed with a shower cap on tripping off your tits at 9.53am on the previous sunday morning? Not good.

Anyways, as with always, time will tell.

Usually at this time i go a bit wild with things, but suprisingly i'm not going to this week, i think things might have changed for the better, a new leaf and all that, am i growing up? Never.
Now, this next bit of writing, you could call it a poem, is the first in my "thought pad" so i'm guessing this is the first thing i done, can't remember to be honest. What i do know is its about a certain place i used to frequent, regularly. And by the title you'll probably understand what for.

"Spliff cliff"

Realising a dream always takes time, for the moment its about the bide, get along for the ride, never should you hide, the happiness and joy is like the tide.
Current flow is strong and the love is on a roll, adrenaline levels are high, the foundations of the soul.

To let others affect you is an uninspirational trait, its you and yourself that can dictate your fate.
Grasp the reality and pull your shit together, feel the positive energy, even if your lacking endeavour.

Auspicious integrity will enhance life like someone to hold, that is an infinite truth, whatever you are told.

You should follow your heart and go about things with every ounce of sense, life isn't there to take for granted, and people approach it under false pretense.

Enjoy it, savour it, take everything in, good things come to those who wait,in the end, it is you who will win.

Smiley, happy, people, good intentions will shine on. Manipulative, acrimonious, people, weigh down society like a tonne.

Beautiful feelings, wonderful minds, those who conquer have a strong spine, they brighten the spirits like the morning sunshine.

To visit the spliff cliff is enlightening in itself, it supplies the soul an endless amount of wealth, an amazing experience that will trigger emotions and dreams and invigorating health.

And some more music to finish off, a bit of the The Pretty things. Psychedelica!

Back log of..

My first blog type posts, starting from the top!

Earsden road

26/6/09

Can someone please enlighten me where this is?
Neil young finished the gig the other night in Nottingham (my favourite gig i've ever been to, probably because of my un-parelleled love of his music)with The beatles - A day in the life so its worth noting this down imo.
Went to town at 1 this afternoon for a few quiet bevvies, as ever this turned into a few fucking more.
To cut a long story short, several jagebombs, tequilas, pints and bottles later i wind up sitting in the middle of a roundabout on this road, fucking earsdon its called apparently. Check one pocket, no coin at all, check the other pocket, no tabs at all, try to phone, no fucking credit left at all. What is going on man, how has it come to this?

Anyway somehow i've got home, after an hour bail around leam lane estate from the bombayan taxi driver(probably still out there now looking for me the soppy rip off scrotum). Actually i've started to sober up while writing that first bit, just realised whats fucking went on.

Some bint has been leading me on all night, full on necking on, flashing her massive titties and generally giving me the impression she wanted her pasty violated(in a good way). She was canny worse for wear though so i've done the decent thing and took her home on the last metro to whitley bay. Got to her estate and i hear a big fucking booming voice "who the fuck is that", turn the corner and this big baldy fucker is shouting up the street, he is also bare chested and flashing his hairy titties so i take a wild guess its the birds dad. Anyways end up getting chased around estate by this half naked manc and get away and onto the main road, fuck knows where this is. Walk till i get to Earsdon road and the roundabout where i collapse and come round from what is a ridiculously drunken state. Not sure what this bird is up to, maybe they go on differently down in manchester but one thing i certainly do know is my fucking dad wouldn't get up at 1 in the morning for fucking jesus, never mind a skinny kid with a hard on from pelaw.
When i've got in i've found a warrent for my arrest from newcastle council aswell, what is going on? Christ!
Reet i'm off for some shut eye, fucking mancunians man.
PS Oh and i met alex from blur today aswell, proper miserable twat.

Fucking thursday

3/7/09

Yes that time again i'm off my box! stayed south of the tyne most of the day this week somehow, had the urge to stay north but i'm a lazy cunt and sat in the garden all day. well not all day, been to town and went to the shop first thing for drink and tabs, 16 bottles and 20 lambert, managed to run out of both by 11.15pm.

Before i started on them though i was down on the quayside this afternoon, lloyds to be exact. A couple of weeks ago i was grafting and i come across a note in a window with a phone number on. It was specifically addressed (the postman)to me and it was from a bird, could tell by the tone she was gagging for it. Anyways i thought it was a piss take at first, took the number down and thought nothing of it.

Then a few days later i get pulled by a bird on the same estate(yes its bensham but there are some decent and honourable people who live there) saying "why haven't you got in touch with my mate?" I told her i thought it was wind up and just got on with everyday life. She told me her mate was offended and thought i didn't fancy her. Hang on a minute, i've never seen the lass so how can i fancy her or not? Anyways i thought i'd do the honourable thing, saying everytime i go past the house i hear a fucking wolf whistle everyday, the blinds are all closed and its mad as fuck if you ask me, who the fuck whistles out of windows man? Well i got in touch and met her this afternoon. Let me tell you, proper MILF, ching fucking ching. Had a a nice sup and a bit chat, could meet again, might not. Actually i'll be round hers tommorrow with something in my sack, hopefully it will fit in her letterbox.

I mentioned a court order last week, well what a fucking nightmare man! Arranged for the law enforcement officer to come to mine and pick the money up on friday morning at 11, i woke up still off my bracket but had to get to the cash point to withdraw some coin to pay the fine. The fine was for (allegedly) pissing all over vivien westwoods window in newcastle sometime last year(can't remember that at all), nez might be able to but i very much doubt it. Never paid the fine apparently so owed over £100 or i would be locked up there and then, jesus pissing is natural fucking stabbing isn't. Well i eventually got to the cash point and low and behold my card wouldn't work. "There is a problem with your card, please contact your bank" shit! went to the next machine, same carry on, bollocks. My card is totally battered off the abuse it has taken since new year( no prizes for guessing what from) Walked home, made a deal with my mam she'd give me a cheque i'd give her the coin. Bloke turns up, "sorry we don't do cheques". Fuck. Told him to come back at 2. Get the money from bank, have an hours kip,he turns up, pay and sign then the cunt comes out with:
"I bet that's the most expensive piss you will have"
fuck you twat. couple hours kip, off to shindig
Techno tits. Been listening to it all day, think the words are "fucking hooked". Had to break it up though with some of The who as the elders were complaining.
"what is this shite?"
"this shite, i have you no, is funk"

Good craic though, always is when your trying to explain the finer points of modern dance music. Sun's been beaming down all day, shear upper class and unalduterated hedonism in leam lane like. Too many grolsch though got work in a few hours, love it man!

looking forward to the weekend, who isn't? get the tequila's in. Rights!

AK47

13/7/09

Fuck the local MDMA, this shit has consumed my life for the past 2 weeks. Had it many, many times before, from various sources and european cities but the batch i have had over the last fortnight has been gorgeous. From somewhere in the hague apparently.

I wasn't sure whether meeting this older bird was a good idea saying there is 9 years between us, but after moonwalking back to hers last week and being presented with what i can only describe as a "lampost", then i made the conscious decision of giving it a shot with her saying she was worth at least a stroke of her spam fritter. And what a decision it was by the way, fucking fantastic to tell you the truth. Never laughed so much in my life, and let me tell you, i've experienced some funny shit so far.

Theres something attractive about a bird that can smoke you under a table, probably the fact that shes paying for it.
I've missed a few events aswell, but to be honest this stuff was well worth it and more and more, funky chicken. Ridiculous behaviour allround really have photos to document it but i'll keep them for private weddings and christenings....

Well the main point of this thread is to let you know aslong as this stuff is in my life, i will never be pissed off with fucking anything! Fuck me i even enjoyed the cricket today, how mental is that? Well lets try and point a highlight out of this trip, eh?

Has to be topless dancing on the millenium bridge last saturday morning (think it was about 5.30/6am fuck knows) to the clash, and plenty of other fucking good bands too, OCS, who, jam, specials, the music, spacemen 5, aided by a tesco carry out and a smoke.

Lauging my breasts off just thinking about it.

Just thinking about it.

Thats another point, spacemen 5. If you've never heard of them you have now. "Taking drugs to make music to take drugs too", what a fucking album man. Proper out there man can't really appreciate them till your out there aswell. Going to work still stoned, especially in our office(40+ blokes who in the main are funny as fuck) is an utter crease.

Too much else has went on but can't be arsed to type anymore.

Anyway i have none left so will be back in a newcastle nightclub near you very soon, keep on keeping on, hope its been a good couple of weeks for you.

PS and maybe this is the start of a blossoming relationship? time will tell.

PPS kasabian tickets this week aswell somehow, stick that in your kettle and boil it!

Something to look forward to?

Pencil November 6 into your diaries. I'd pay to see it!

Podcast party

After a very hectic weekend, which seen copius amounts of debauchery, yesterday was just what i needed. Well nearly! Apart from, or you could say including, the monsoon and no BBQ the party was a laugh. The music from start to finish was blinding, all the lads played well. Hopefully what was recorded from the day/night will reflect this. The turn out could have been better, but alot of factors mean't it could have went either way, a busy weekend usually for everyone and bank holiday monday in Newcastle city centre just doesn't pull numbers in these days, whereas on a friday or saturday on the bank holiday weekend every bar is buzzing. We still raised some money for charity and had a good day. I Love the vibes of the terrace, laidback with some fine beats to compliment the atmosphere.
We will definately have more, just choosing the right date is massively important for sure.
